AmSteg is a social media app for local & aspiring musicians. The geo-based platform allows users to connect with nearby musicians & build communities. Our objective is to help artists collaborate & hone their skills in a casual yet intimate manner.

‘Am Steg’ is a German-musical term for ‘at the bridge’ of a song. Our app intends to build bridges between people via musical expression. These slides show the key points of the branding process; brainstorming names, font selection, color palette & logo development. The final logo has a signature-ish type, with a bridge across the base, a treble note for the letter 'S' & the color orange evokes a sense of sunlit energy.

Newsfeed displays the content created by local users & each post is differentiated with a Treble/Bass clef. Profile allows users to share their preferred instruments, skill level, musical tastes & current location. Settings have adjustable options via the drop-down menu in the top left corner. The Header icons are the key to navigating the app & the Footer icons allow users to upload/post content.
